Background to Leanne and Amelie
I grew up with dogs and I absolutely love them!
Due to our living circumstances, we can’t have our own dog and I wanted my daughter to be around dogs as I think they’re so beneficial for mental health. It’s lovely for children to be around animals. This is the reason why I set up Look Who’s Walking – dog walking and dog sitting.
I’ve got a degree from Bristol University in Sociology and Marketing. I worked in Marketing for 7 years but decided I didn’t like working in an office and I wanted to move abroad. I changed my life, trained to teach English as a foreign language and moved to Spain. In Spain, I taught English to Spanish people and whilst I was there, I learnt Spanish. After living in Spain for 3 years and getting a good grasp of the language, I decided to travel around South America for 9 months. Whilst I was there I volunteered in Colombia. After that I moved back to Spain for another 2 years. I met my partner there and fell pregnant. We decided to move back to England to have our daughter as we had more security here and I’ve been in Newbury since then. I still teach occasionally but being with dogs is more my passion.
I also sing and write songs and poems. I play the guitar and the ukulele and I dance salsa.
I’ve got an enhanced DBS and many happy, repeat customers.
